Location of A/C check valve on Ford van?
My Ford E-150 van has developed an A/C problem. The air blows cold through the A/C vents until the engine reaches a certain RPM, at which time it blows through the defroster vents. It switches back to A/C vents when the van slows down. I'm told this is a vacuum system problem, and that replacing the A/C check valve might fix it. I have the new valve, but am not sure exactly where the old valve is located under the hood. Any guidance would be helpful.
Thanks!
Sorry...it's a 2004 model.
Thanks again.

Look up just above the left knee under dash You will see two doors;These doors route air to vents;;There is a round object with a shaft and is retracted with Vacum;In Your case the upper one is not doing its job,You can take the Pin out and door will close,place a band around it.there will be no air coming out the Defrost;
This small device is called a vacum Actuator,approx 25 dollars;You can fix this problem/good luck
