Aggressive Cat Issues?
We recently adopted a two-year old cat from the Humanes Society, and he was the sweetest thing when we met him.
We brought him home, and maybe 3 days later, he turned into a little bully. He chases around the smaller cats, mostly girls, and one boy, and stalks them out. They hide and hiss at him, but he just keeps going.
We've tried giving him light taps to say no, and spraying him with water, but he keeps persisting. We don't want to give him up, because he does have his good moments. How can I make him stop bullying?

Just continue what you were doing with the cat. Spray him with the water bottles and tap him once in a while to let him know that you are the head of the household and what you are doing isn't good at all. Maybe after a while he will get into the habit of a good behavior and do well. Let him be round the other cats for a while longer; he is still getting used to his surroundings. Do not worry, soon enough he will get used to the other cats and accept them. He then will stop being a "bully" and more of a friend to your other cats. It worked when we got out new kittens, it may work for you too.

Your cat may be just playing, but if they're hissing then maybe not... but since he's new, he probably doesn't know how to express himself in front of cats he's never met. If you give it some time, he will learn to become friends with his new room mates, and they will get along. I'm not saying this will happen in a week, but it should happen soon. And after a while if he still is mean, you can put him in an empty closet as a "time out" and let him out when you feel he's been properly punished. Don't leave him in there for too long though, or he will become more agressive and become homely and meaner to the others because he feels unwanted. Best of luck to you and your furry friends! :)

This happened to me, the new cat is trying to take over, he wants to live alone so he's trying to drive the other cats away, he wants to be the head of the household (pet wise).
The only thing you can do is try to get a calming spray from the vet, didn't work very much for us, but ours was from outside.
other than that unfortunately there's nothing you can do you'll have to give him up.
(if your going to try the spray, spray it on Kleenex's if you want the spray to get near them)
