Why is the cross looked at as a symbol of worship?

If the rainbow God. provided after the flood ..was to remind him that he would never flood the earth again.. Apparently he saw a need to have something to bring a thought to the forefront of his mind.. And that to me is what the cross does... Reminds people of what Christ , did for mankind. Not a symbol of worship.. and constant reminder..

Someone explained it to me the other day. It is ward off the zombie god and prevent the apocalypse. Thank you Christians!

the cross is not a symbol to worship, but it is a symbol of the reminder of what Christ did for us, so that we will worship Him. The cross should not be worshiped, but the Christ of the Cross should be.

Because there is one on 90% of churches, one in 99.99% of churches and people wear them on necklaces as a symbol of their religion.

    Duh.

You can try and play silly word games if you want but it is still a religious symbol.

Its not an idol or anything. Its reminding us what he did for us to save us from our sins.
