Is the ground zero mosque a bad ideal or are the muslims just that arrogant?
Do you think, that putting up a mosque 600 ft. from ground zero and have the inauguration, on the anniversary of 9/11/11, is immoral, inhuman and a complete lack of respect for the memories of all that perished on that day and their survivors & that politicians are doing a grave injustice to the fallen heroes, their families and all the people of New York City, and the USA?
mindy....Some of you won't be happy until their is a "religion" war in this country!
Muslims died on 9/11 too!
And who did the killing on that day? The war has already started.

They know it's a bad idea. They cannot help but hear the protest against the mosque being built. In NYC, the ratio is 2:1 against building the mosque. Building the mosque WILL NOT strengthen ties with Muslims. A vast majority of Americans oppose the mosque being built 2.5 BLOCKS FROM GROUND ZERO. They are not, however, suggesting that Muslims do not have the right to build a mosque. Just not near Ground Zero. The Muslims and other supporters behind this mosque are too stubborn.

Firstly it's not a mosque its a community centre. Secondly apartheid is over and you want to start another with Muslims instead of blacks?
You people are suffering from mythomania which is why it's easy to convince you that something wrong is going on in everything and Muslims are to blame. I don't see a tear in eye of anyone about murdering thousands of people in other countries and making many more homeless because of a illegal war - the only people known to have done so were the communists and Nazis both of whom were Christian and Jews are still suffering today becasue of it.
If you feel bad about this then you must also feel bad about an Afghan or Iraqi family being hit by an American missile in their own country because their next door neighbour was (allegedly) up to no good.

there must be some wisdom in this madness
just when the wars are winding down in Iraq
and Afghanistan looks like the US might pull out by 2014
the Muslims have to start something with a mosque right by
the 911 disaster site...sometimes I think people never want to see
an end to the problems in the Middle East.

The mosque is advertised as leading to greater understanding. Thus, it should not be built close to ground zero. It should be built precisely in the middle of the World Trade site. Then the staff can spend its time explaining the big hole in the ground surrounding the mosque. That will lead to greater understanding.

It is a victory to all Islamic terrorists around the world. If they really wanted to be peaceful, they would respect the feelings of the thousands of family members who lost loved ones in the name of their religion.
Why is it relevant how many Muslims died on 9/11? The attacks were done in the name of Islam. They are constantly murdering members of their own religion, including innocent civilians, so how is this even relevant to anything.

No joke, if that mosque gets built i'm flying from Texas up to New York to spit on the side of that building, and drop my chewing gum on front doorstep. That's the most I can do without getting arrested.

It is all a part of our quest for tolerance. We shall soon build a Japanese Memorial at Pearl Harbor, and a German Memorial at Normandy.
People who object to these things are racist bigots.

I guess that depends on how many muslims died at ground zero on 911...does any one know?...did any muslim help in the relief efforts?..or was it just christians that risked their lives to save those people trapped in the towers?......would be good to know the truth
