Does not show if the website allows one to log on without an error message. It is very apparent that it is down for many folks who have actually tried to log in recently.

but facebook accounts are based on different servers, so might one server be down?
Wait for half an hour or so and try again

I'm able to log into my Facebook account at the present time (approx 9pm CDT)

YEs mine is - well not down but it wont let me log in on the computer,
But it will let me log in on the iphone

Nope! It is probably your internet connection turn it off for 5 mins then have another go.
