Is it ignorance of God that causes some religions to hate other religions?
What Soul is not Created by the exact same God?
"Ignorance of God..." is meant to say: that one lacks a proper Knowledge of God, and is therefore ignorant of the Reality of God.
My point is: When one awakens to the Spiritual dimension within oneself, one rises above the subtle limitations of religion and of ones MIND.

✞✞✞ Yes and no....Yes for the ones who are following a false god...No for the Christian who is revealing Gods Holy Truth to those who are being deceived...We as Christians have been commissioned by Christ Jesus to preach the gospel to all people... We must not be tolerant where sin against God is evident.

Salam/Peace. People always draw the "circle" of US within the circle, and THEM, outside it. Immature people draw the circle very tight, sometimes including no one in that circle except their own person. When you view the Creation, and see that the ARTIST (Almighty) or Musawwir in Arabic has made EVERYTHING, and if you love the ARTIST, you love HIS Artwork which is you and me and everything around us!! THAT said it is also clear that the Almighty has given free will to us, and the order to obey Him. When people disobey or disregard HIS DIVINE WILL, it has consequeneces, usually bad ones. Thus those who disobey the Almighty either willingly or unknowingly, they will clearly face the consequences. Just as child who jumps off the roof unwittingly, whether warned or not warned, would break a few bones at least, if not worse. In the same way the Laws of the Almighty are based on our benefit. When people distort or disregard them, they have consequences. Religions as a rule claim to know the WILL of the CREATOR. Therefore they tend to warn people about the consequence of disobedience. It is not hatred per se. It is more the concern that one group of another is taking people to the path of destruction, knowingly or unknowingly that gets the religious Joes and Janes on all sides to become a bit more upset, as they see the consequences to be deep and far reaching.
Our mind however is clearly capable of judging right from wrong. If the religion tells you to worship a stone, an animal, a tree or for that matter man, it is clearly telling you to put yourself below these entities. In contrast a religion that teaches us to worship the UNIVERSAL GOD, without defining HIM or associating HIM with the likeness of any of HIS Creatures, in my view that is closer to the Truth. If I love Rembrandt, I love his paintings also, but does not mean I call one of his paintings Rembrandt, although clearly it is created by him and has a part of his very thoughts, his soul and the handiwork of his hands with his blood in action creating the painting.
I hope I am making sense.

An uneducated and unlettered old fools opinion...
"Religions do not hate other religions, human beings are intolerant of other human beings!"
~~~~~
One cannot begin to research and comprehend "The Creator" until one first understands oneself.
Man expends so much time and energy to understand everything within the world, except a most 'beautiful ray of light' that dwells within man.
....Oh man, know thyself!....
Why does man not heed and understand this basic directive and principle? That is indeed a true mystery!
Man has forgotten:
1. From where man originated.
2. Where man is going.
3. Exactly what is this place that man has been born into.
4. And most importantly, who and what is man.
Man must "Remember", exactly why man is here.
Until one knows ones true identity, man cannot truly comprehend anything.
When man finally realizes his true identity, man will realize that everything up to that point will have actually been a lie.
One will then, know "The Truth".
For only then, will "Wisdom" have dawned within man.
Peace be always with you.
in sha'Allah
Salaams,
No it is just the ignorance, greed, and arrogance of man that created hate towards other religions and people in general. All the so-called knowledge supposedly from God is just knowledge humans have acquired themselves because there is no such thing as God in reality...God is just a concept.
Not exactly... in fact it's the ignorance on part of mankind.
Actually most are not well informed about the other religions and are therefore having biases against the rest.
By the way, there are only three religions in practise. Judaism, Christianity, & Islam.
No its the ignorance of people. If people became reasonable and just learnt to accept other religions, it would truly make this world a better place. But it's the people like the islamic extremists, the christians protesting against the mosque, the jews killing people in gaza. Religious people are the problem. Now im not saying to give up your religion, you can believe in what ever you want, thats cool, but dont go around hating other religions. Haters gonna be hated. Its this circle of hate that just keeps going, and all it takes is one link to break of, and it will all stop.
No, it's human nature.. "If your god is different than my god, then your's is false, and wrong, because mine is definately the right one" attitudes... It's the same with politics... "You're party can't possibly be right" etc and etc.
There will never be world peace as long as there is religion, and without religion there will never be a drive for peace. catch 22.
unfortunate really... there are people who are accepting of all religions, or at least dislike them all equally, but there are always the holier than thou types (the my god is better than your god, my car is better than your car, my house is better than your house types), and they have the biggest mouths..
No, it is man.
Every soul, man created God as a form of control. There is no real sky daddy.
Agreed. I don't care if you call it God or The Divine...but the Spirit of the Creator would not approve of all the hate & intolerance...or at least that's the way I see it.
As a Christian I am not bound by Mosaic Law which most people cite, I am bound by Jesus whose sacrifice has redeemed me from the old law! As for hatred I don't but I feel sorry for their blindness!
