Should I switch my soon-to-be 1 year old to milk?
She has been drinking Alimentum since about 2 months old because her stomach couldn't handle any of the other formulas which gave her horrible gas and made her projectile vomit. I'm not sure if she has an allergy to protein or not, so now that her 1st birthday is around the corner I am wondering what I should be switching her to? Milk? Soy Milk? Lactose Free milk? My husband is Active Duty military so we see the pediatrician on base and I asked her but she speaks another language and I don't think she really knows what I'm asking her.
If any of you have any advice I would love to hear it.

Oh my ... how can you get good medical care when you can't even communicate with your doctor. Is there not a nurse or interpreter who can help translate?
Milk allergy is a nasty thing. If your baby has been on alimentum, she is presumably allergic to milk. (NOT lactose intolerant, as another poster suggested -- human infants are (almost) never lactose intolerant. (Breastmilk contains lots of lactose.) LI is a disorder that affects older children and adults, not babies and toddlers.
While babies often do outgrow milk allergies, you really shouldn't be making the switch on your own. Arrange to meet with a doctor you can talk with or, ideally, get a referral to an allergist. She can help you decide when and how to introduce cows milk products.

Try it, but slllooooowly. Give her the alimentum but add just an ounce of regular milk to it. Let her drink that for 4 or 5 days, watching carefully for upset tummy, gas, diarrhea. If she tolerates it well, then add 2 ounces of milk to the regular formula. Wait 4 or 5 days, then keep increasing the amount of milk and decreasing the amount of formula until she is off the alimentum. If at any point, she gets tummy problems, stop and go back to all alimentum. Give her a few days to readjust, then try the soy milk but with the same process (one ounce at a time/4 days in between.)

Normally I would say yes switch her to whole milk, however if she has had problems I would for sure be asking a dr. A bit of advice NEVER take your child to on post drs. We are military as well and I have 3 children and they have NEVER seen a dr on post. You can go to the tricare building on your post (usually in the welcome centers) and ask for the form that allows you to see off post drs. You still get the same coverage and everything but you get to pick your dr. It is well worth it! You can also do it for yourself. Sorry I know that is off topic but I would do that for sure!! So I would ask her doctor since she has had so many problems you wouldn't want to hurt her belly anymore.

All 3 of my children went straight to 'cows' milk, at 1-year of age, and drinking out of normal cups and glasses.
