What is wrong with my cats tail?
My cat has been laying on the railing upstairs for a few weeks, and has fallen off of it a few times. A few days ago we noticed that the top part of her tail (near the butt) has been hurting her. I don't think its broken because she can still swing it and sit down, plus she can still walk, jump and run normally, but when we touch it she meows and gives us a "don't touch it" look. We can't afford to take her to the vet, so I was wondering what we can do for her and what might be wrong. Like I said before we can't afford to take to the vet if we could I wouldn't be asking.
it is a little swollen
We can't afford to take her to the vet or we would

Cats find the oddest places to play, sleep, and nap. And a lot of them end up falling when they do.
She's probably just landed on her tail a couple of times and bruised it.
There are many options for taking a pet to a Vet if you cannot afford it.
There are free clinics in a lot of cities, for people who cant afford vet bills for pets.
A lot of Vets themselves will donate time to certain shelters and such.
Some Vets will let you make small payments to pay out the bill, if its a small bill.
There is such thing as pet insurance. I dont know how much it costs, but I would say it would be worth it if you cant afford regular Vet bills.
Call the local SPCA shelters, the ASPCA (not the same as SPCA), local Vets to see if there are any free or low cost services for people who cannot afford regular Vet bills.
Ive had to use local "free clinic" services and low cost services for my cats before. And they are just as good as other Vets. In some cases, all I did was pay $20.00 for the visit. Ive paid as little as $35.00 for a spay/neuter, and most of the time they wont even charge you, to look at the cat.
Since its the cats tail, and not something really bad......I would say that a basic visit is all you need, just so the Vet can look at the tail. Depending on the Vet or clinic, this should cost very little or even free.
Call some Vets around your area and see if they give free consultations.

Having a pet is a responsibility. Please don't get anymore pets until you can afford to take care of them.
