What should I wear to a wedding?

I'm a girl and 18 years old.

The wedding is October 2 in PA so its chilly but neither hot nor cold.

I feel like I want to wear a dress and a cardigan to go over it just incase its colder than expected. (It's outside btw.. and in the afternoon) But im open to seeing what a nice blouse and pants look like.

Im just not sure where to shop for this and how dressy the dress should be. Obviously not dressier than the bride but how dressy should i go?

Okay so you want to know what to wear well. Any dress or pant suit will be great, of course you don't want to dress up too much but you want to look respectable. If you have a JC Penny or Ross or TJ Max in your area I would suggest heading over to one of them and just go to the women's dress section and have a peak they always have some very beautiful dresses for weddings or special occasions or just every day wear. Me personally I would go with the dress and a cardigan with nylons and a nice pair of flats oh btw I am 28 year young and as long as you don't show up too dressy or too dressed down any thing that is worn will be fine.

Only a little dressier than you averagely are. You're right: not dressier than the bride, but not completely casual either. If you're not the dressiest type, find a dress that you like and one you'll feel comfortable in.

Avoid wearing white, since that's the brides color, but a dress (about knee-length or more) with a cardigan would be nice!

Kohl's or JCPenney's would be good places to shop for stylish, yet casual clothing.

a hoop is a logo, it would not define. i recently lost my wedding ceremony band - it slipped off whilst we've been planting this previous spring. I even have worn that ring for rather much 24 years now. that's certainly one among the few cloth issues that had which ability. I remind myself that's purely a textile 'difficulty' yet i'm unhappy that's long gone. we do not have the money on the 2d to swap it, yet we can quicker or later. So, precise now i'm married and not donning a hoop (I in no way wanted an engagement ring). i attempt to comedian tale approximately it - I tell my husband to maintain his distance as quickly as we are out as i could have the flexibility to %. somebody up - lol. additionally, i understand couples who're allergic (I actually have a buddy who can no longer positioned on any steel) or whose jobs require they positioned on no rings. each each now and then there are sturdy reasons people do no longer positioned on a hoop whilst married. I in all risk does no longer be conscious if somebody grew to become into no longer donning a hoop. It would not rely to me.

  • Because it will be an outdoor/afternoon wedding, I am going to assume that it is not something formal where you will be expected to wear a ball gown type of dress.

How about a nice pant suit? That'll keep you warm and it'll look appropriate. Here's a site that can help you: http://weddingstyle.suite101.com/article.cfm/what-...

    Hello Darling,

Well, I think since it is not an evening wedding, that you should most definitley not wear a "elegant"dress. A pantsuit would be very much appropriate, & .. classy & elegant for the afternoon.

If you are interested in wearing a blouse and pants, you might want to consider a pant suit.
