Why do liberals bash christians who oppose homosexuality, but not the muslims who do?

I'm not a liberal, but I think I can give some input on this topic. Since it's mainly people of the Christian religion against homosexuality out in the open, they focus their attention on them, I don't recall Muslims doing any of this in the U.S.

When you have people like from that one church, I think Westburo Church, not sure making a fuss, people will forget about the rest and focus on the person making the biggest noise.

It is true, that Muslims have a more negative attitude than Christians who oppose homosexuality.

I'm sure the more rational ones are aware of Islam's attitude toward gays. I think atheist Liberals would be aware of this.

EDIT: I'm not implying all Christians are against gays.

I don't like either not just because of the views on gays but their views on the women's rights and clearly Muslims are worse. However what Muslims think about such things does not effect me because I live in the US, and there is little I can do about what happens in other countries. It is like saying why do Conservative spend so much time bashing Obama for his policies which they think are socialist and rarely take time to condemn Castro who is a real communist.

Because Muslims aren't busy trying to get their beliefs made legal in the United States so that their beliefs must be followed by all Americans, or be punished. If right-wing Christian fundamentalists didn't spend so much time trying to insert their beliefs into the government and make their beliefs law of the land nobody would be fighting against their efforts.

Well the fact that Muslims torture and kill gays just for being gay kind of says it all. Think of what they would do to someone who actually spoke out against them. Liberals are cowards. They criticizes Christians because they know Christians won't try to murder you in you bed for not believing what you do. That actually happened. A man had a Muslim wife for three years and woke up one morning and she had a knife to his throat.

Because they are politicians. (And it is just easier to bash Christians than muslims.)

I am 99.9999% sure that those "activists" who are fighting for the "gay rights" don't really understand man's beauty, and don't care about happiness of gays. They just want to earn some political scores. That's my opinion. So, I mean, that they just want to bash someone - Christians, muslims, doesn't matter. It is just a fact that muslims resist stronger, so Christians become a better target.

Folks, there is not one Islamic country that supports the freedoms or equality that Democrats fought for. Being a democrat that prizes those things, I find Islam's ethics contemptible.

Then again, I'm not a liberal, and CERTAINLY not a socialist (another group that has NEVER supported the freedoms and equality we fought for, and now they are using us like sheep wool on a wolf. I want them to go back to their OWN party, and give mine BACK!)

For one thing, we aren't arguing with Muslims on this forum. Muslims have no hope of winning more seats in Congress than Republicans. There's no real point to arguing against Muslim beliefs in a political forum.

And, claiming that liberals seethe with hate is a bit hypocritical, don't you think?

Uh, we don't share the language, culture or religion of the Muslims. To those American Christians who aren't you, your Old Testament, harsh, punishing Christianity seems primitive, uninformed and conflicts with our New Testament, Matthew 25 sensibilities. The non-secular Muslim traditions also conflict with our Christian sensiblities and we're speaking out and working against them. That you aren't aware of this is a shame.

Wow! I have never thought of this. You are so right. Nothing the Muslims do are wrong, but Christians and Jewish are tore through the coals like crazy! Maybe they are afraid their heads will be lopped off otherwise.
