If the laws of your religion became the laws of the land, would you support or oppose?

As a matter of principle, would you want all the laws of your faith (or lack of) to be the laws that governed your nation?

Update:

Yes I do Tag-boy, that is one of the reasons I ask this. There will be another question involving how would you like it the laws of a different religion became the law of the land, but I'll keep with this part for now.

Of my own *particular* denomination within Christianity: yes, because we make no claim to having all the answers and people are expected to work out their own answers for themselves (with some guidance), but the answers that people eventually come up with have to be their *own* answers.

Christianity as a whole: absolutely not. Given that we have a reactionary Pope and Protestantism has a great many fundagelical nutjobs right now who would love nothing more than to establish theocracies, I would not want reactionary Catholicism or Protestantism to become the law of the land.

no count number whose faith turns into the regulation of the land (this is atheism at found in u . s . of america,) my first allegiance is to God, and that i'm no longer obligated to obey any secular authorities that tell me to disobey or denounce Our Blessed Lord. i think that if the religion replaced into something like protestantism (which replaced into in cost of our us of a for a lengthy time period,) it would not be so undesirable, yet when this is Islam or if the elements of atheism receives any thicker, shall we be dealing with serious religious persecution contained in the destiny. Even that would not replace the selections I surely ought to make, in spite of the actuality that. because it says contained in the acts of the apostles, we ought to obey God, somewhat than adult males.

If the laws of any religion governed the UK I would oppose it.

The laws of my faith, which are the laws of my Father in Heaven, 'will' become the laws of the land, post revelation.

    I heartily approve and support.

    God Bless You!

    Oppose.

State and religion should never be mixed !

"Do what thou wilt" cannot be opposed. It is operant everywhere already. The only problem with it is that most people fail to grasp the flip side of that coin, which is "and be willing to accept the consequences".
