If you knew today was your last day with your child, how would you spend it?
Today's my daughter's last day staying home with her daddy. She starts daycare next week. :)
He'll still see and spend time with her, but it just got me thinking...
IN CASE ANY OF YOU CAN READ, PLEASE DO SO... I specified the scenario in the additional details, folks.

I went through this when I was home unemployed for four months. My son stayed home with me those four months and when I found another job I was partially relieved (for financial purposes) and partially heart broken (to be spending 40 hours a week away from him again).
We went to the playground, we played outside, we talked about how great it would be to see his babysitter again and how much she had missed him. We talked about what he would do there,. and what would happen in the mornings and why he was going back. We went to the store to get food for him to bring to his sitter, and that evening we read an extra book before bed. I basically made the day about him, and made sure to do the things he/we seemed to enjoy the most together when I was home with him.
This must be so hard for him!!!! What an adjustment, good luck to all three of you!!!

I would hug her and not let her go.
That having been said, I'm thinking death and this is just daycare. My child's last day before her first day of school we talked about how much fun she'd have and picked out clothes and carried on like it was a normal day.

If it was my last day home with my daughter and she was off to daycare the next day, I would take her out to the park, lots of cuddles and hugs.

spend as much time holding her and making her laugh.. take her for ice cream or to the play ground....keep it a very child like day becuase now that she's going to daycare.. next is school.. and before you know it she's off to college.

relies upon, am I basically being shot into area or something? because of the fact then i could purchase a sparkling digicam. If i grew to become into dying, i could probably flow to church, and then to a synagogue, and then to a mosque, and specific the community Buddhist temple.

wow, why is everyone so riled up, chill people!!
To answer your question I truly don't know, I would have a day full of things to make her happy, I'd like for her to smile all day, and then go to sleep cuddling her and holding her tight.

You really one-uped my "ideal weekend" question (below this one). Thanks :P
I would just sit and play any game that he wanted to. His favorite thing is when I pay attention to him and only him, so it would be a day filled with just that.
edit~ I am not understanding why everyone is saying this is disgusting. I must have missed something?!

... that is not a question to ever care to think about. The mere thought of it makes me sick to my stomach.
****EDIT****
WELL THEN.... SINCE I CAN'T READ YOUR MIND AND KNOW THAT THE QUESTION YOU ASKED DID MEAN WHAT IT SAID..... then the answer to your question is... I would go to work and see him when I got home. Just like I have been doing every day for the past two years.
