Yes, but the amazing thing is that he is being hung out to dry for all the wrong reasons. This was the Bush years coming home to roost, but Americans think that everything happens in front of their own eyes! If I am suffering now, it must be because of this president. The lies that this guy tells are simply promises he can't keep. Yes, we hoped he would feed some of those hungry children with some of these rich jerks money, but he is a product of the system. Our system. He is what we have been sold. If the Democrats lose big in November, it will be because some of us gave up. With the fascists pumping money into the Republican coffers we will not fork out what is needed to please the hoi polloi. Notice how the only people telling the truth are the comedians? We will die laughing.

No, he didn't trick us. The people who voted for him are the same ones who will benefit from health care reform, financial reform, student loan reform, ending DADT, ending the wars, etc. Those of us who were actually listening to him during the campaign have not been surprised. Others who apparently projected their own wishes and policies onto him have been surprised.

It is true that many of us on the left are disappointed that more hasn't been done in some areas, as it is equally true that many on the right don't like his policies either. This tells us that he is a CENTRIST.

This is a common tactic of Democrats. They are a party of crooks and thieves that pander for votes just to further their own agendas. Watch the dems try really hard to pass the Dream act so they can secure the hispanic vote.

Thus the need for the tea party. Democrats also need a party of outsiders to remake them. They are all corrupt. Both parties wear a label to "trick" people into voting for them. The difference this time is the Republican party stood their ground and listened to the voters while the Democrats bowed to the president and ignored their voters.

One of the great ironies of American politics is that many of the people the GOP have suckered in, do NOT benefit from Republican Party ideologies.

GOP policies are primarily geared to help the rich get richer. If they can also sucker in a few fringe groups (gun nuts, religious zealots, anti-abortionists, racists, etc., etc.), all the better, as long as the wealthy old man's club continues to get wealthier.

They may not even realize it, but the rest (the middle- and lower-class) are baggage, along for the ride ...

When libs saw him on stage with the greek columns behind him (trick), they all had stars in their eyes and all they saw was a light illuminating that stage and they heard a choir or angles singing his praise (gullible). I always vote my best interest. Lower taxes, freedom from the Government. Whoever offers me the most of that wins my vote.
