1990 Chevy Silverado C-1500, How much coolant does it take?

If I was to drain the radiator and refill it, how many gallons would it take? Also is there a filter on the radiator that should be replaced?

Update:

it is a V-8. I will be putting pre-mixed coolant in.

No to the filter. You didn't say what you're driving a straight 6, a V6 or a V8. I generally drain all the fluid out of my chevy, and then put one gallon of anti freeze in it and the rest water and it takes it down to around -20F. To find out the capacity of your radiator, you should look in the book that is glove box and or the tag under your hood. But to be more specific give some more info and I'll get a more definitive answer back to you.
