Can out-of-state nurse practitioners write CII prescriptions for Illinois patients?

Have the laws changed on who can write for control 2 medications? It used to be that only an MD could do it.

    NPs cannot write C-2s in the state of Illinois. While the nursing practice act now allows for it, the controlled substance act does not. They have been promising to fix this issue since 2007.
