Breakfast at Disney World?

Any restaurant, any park, any resort... Where would you go for the best breakfast and why?

    My top 3 choices:

    1. Crystal Palace: Located in the Magic Kingdom. It's a character dining experience with Winnie the Pooh & Friends. They visit your table for pictures & autographs. It's fun, even if you don't have kids with you. The food is amazing. It's a buffet, and it's truly everything that you can imagine. The highlights are peanut butter & jelly pizza, a build your own omelet station, Mickey Mouse shaped waffles and endless amounts more. I like to make an 8:05 reservation to get into the park early, you get amazing pictures.

    2. Kona Cafe: I generally like buffet's for breakfast, but I make an exception here. This is at the Polynesian. Two things off this menu make for the best breakfast meals. One is the Tonga Toast, which is deep fried french toast w/bananas & cream inside. The other is the Pineapple Macadamia Nut pancakes. It's debatable which one is better.

    3. Chef Mickey's: This is one of the hardest to get into restaurants, as it's breakfast with Mickey, and other members of the fab 5. It's in the Contemporary. Again, this is fun even without kids. This breakfast has a photo package, so you can get professional photos taken by photopass photographers not just with characters, but around the restaurant too. The buffet here is awesome, it's the same as Crystal Palace. Both places, food wise, are amazing. I like the beautiful environment of Crystal Palace more, but the quality of food is equal at both.

I'm going to be there the same week. The last time we went, we did a character breakfast. Try to go as early as is comfortable for you to get there. That way you can do the character meal and then head to the parks. If you have a later time, you may end up not doing anything beforehand or possibly end up running late because you're waiting in line for an attraction. Disney has so much to do and I've found that if you have things that are scheduled, it's best to do them first and allow as much as possible to go unscheduled the rest of the day. Being in a situation where you're watching the clock all day and missing something or cutting an activity short to make a reservation is a sure recipe for a stressful vacation.

In the parks our favorite is Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom. The food is great and best of all it is a Winnie The Pooh character meal.

Outside of the parks it is a toss up between Kona Cafe at the Polynesian and Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge.Rainforest Cafe also has a very good breakfast.

I would go to Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, because the food is excellent and it's all you can eat. They have traditional breakfast food and exotic food you might never have had before. So you can try a lot of new things, with no risk of getting stuck with something you don't want to eat.

We like the Grand Floridian Cafe and Kona best. GFC has lobster eggs benedict and I loved the pineapple macadamia nut pancakes at Kona.
