What goes on your permanent record as a minor?

for example a friend of mine was arrested for trespassing and he just had to do community service, it didn't go on his permanent record?

what would and would not go on your permanent record? vandalism? drug charges? disturbing the peace?

just curious about how the system works, and what happens to arrested minors.

Update:

will these charges follow on to be on your adult record too?
