Should I quit working and be a stay at home mom?

I am being stalked by some strange lesbian who approached me one day.  I didn't talk to her or anything because I had been warned she was trouble as I am not the only one who she bothered.  Ever since she saw me the first time years ago she has shown up at every job I have and ruined it for me.  I'm not gay and I never have done anything to make her chase after me this way so of course I got her locked up but she wasn't there long.  I changed my name and all my documents and moved but after she got out she came to my home with a man and hit me in the head with a hammer.  She doesn't know I have a husband now at least I hope so I was wondering if I put everything in his name or a child's name and never worked again will she be able to find me after she gets out of jail this time.  Should I stop working and not own anything to stop this.  I really want to work and own in life but it's not worth it if I have to go through this.  What are the chances she can find me again if it's even worth it.  Help please.
