How bad is my blood pressure levels?

I am currently being tested for high blood pressure that has been on going. I Have been reading the charts when they check it and I have seen 145-148ish / over 65-77. I have to go back to the hospital for a week straight to have them check again. They think I could have Type 1 Diabetes. I am not fat, I am rather thin.

Update:

Id like to add, that I am military and work out 5 days a week already.

What can you do? Follow directions. That range of BP readings are not drastic levels. The higher end is borderline. You may be given a prescription for medication. Follow the MD's instructions, watch your diet and exercise.

A good blood pressure is 130/80 Anything over 140/90 is high. Your bottom number is within the right range so I wouldn't be too concerned right now. Your top number isn't that high. You just need to exercise a hour a week three times a week and see if that helps bring your numbers down. Drink plenty of water also. Try and relax when you go to see the Dr too anxiety can cause your BP to become elevated.

Good Luck! Like I said your Blood Pressure really isn't that high to be really concerned just try and make some lifestyle modifications so you do not have to be placed on medication.
