Why do Canadians think that anyone in the world cares what their opinion is on anything of consequence?
Their free health care is a sham and their citizens come to the US in flocks to get medical attention that they would have to wait in line for months if not years to receive at home. They claim to have been duped by the US to go to war in Iraq yet they as part of the UN were privy to the same intelligence the rest of the UN had. The UN resolved to go into Iraq not just the US. Canada is a beautiful country that is unfortunately inhabited by left wing Socialist nanny-staters
@ Mountain Man, I understand your sentiments and commend you on your tolerance towards our neighbors to the north, but I had just left a question page where the question posed and most of the answers were by Canadians and all were bashing so I vented a little give me a break.
@ eye can help, Pull everything, the US is not DEPENDENT on Canada's exports, Canada IS dependent on the US to buy those exports however.
PS. I live in Texas, we are pretty much self sufficient down here!

john, i think you are being too pompous towards canada and should lighten up a bit. canada didn't do anything to harm us ever and has always been a good neighbor. no, they aren't perfect in many ways but we are lacking in just as many ways as they are. i wouldn't want every country to be just like us, would you? they are canada, and we are U.S. so let's live and let live, ok? compare them with having another country like mexico up there, then what? i for one care what they think of americans and we all should try to be good americans and act civilized toward friends living so close to us. why do canadians think that?, why shouldn't they?

We are in the NAFTA so we are inter-dependent. Canada is the U.S.'s biggest supplier of crude oil.
Canadians did not go to Afghanistan or Iraq as combat units because they did not agree with the U.S. but they do go along with the U.S. They may have believed the phony intelligence about WMD presented at the U.N. Security Council by Colin Powell and other sources.
The U.S. cannot function in the world alone but they don't have enough competent diplomats. All the U.S. has is weapons and an intimidating arsenal.
So, why is their health care system a sham?? Canadians are willing to pay higher taxes to know they can get medical care. The ones who come across the Canadian border pay in cash which Americans cannot afford.
You have the problem that afflicts most Americans. They have an inferiority complex and feel the need to tell the world how superior they are, which they are not. The world knows how dumb Americans are.
