Did anyone have Pecan pie for Thanksgiving?

You betcha. And I did spray the pie plate with pam. And my crust was great. And I put a lot more pecans in it then the recipe says to. And real whipped cream on top. No cool whip here. Yum

Pumpkin Pie

Oh my. I'm still feeling stuffed. No Pecan pie - but we did have our traditional Pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving.

I do love Pecan pie any other time of the year.

Through the years - for my husbands birthday - he always like pie instead of a birthday cake. We have his mothers Orange Pecan Pie recipe. It's yummy!

No and it's my favorite pie. The wife says she is making it for Christmas or New Years. Pumpkin Pie was the choice for Thanksgiving.

I am living in eastern Europe and forgot to bring a pie pan to back my own pies. I forgot allot of good stuff it seems.

Haven't seen any pies over here, just lots of strudel and cakes, they are good but miss pies, the holidays are pie time.

Sure did and it's one of my favorite pies. My wife does a fantastic job making them but the pie sticks to the pie plate and it is a battle to get your piece of pie out but ... the battle is more than worth it ... the rewards far out way the effort. LOL

Yes, this is the only time of year I have it. Oklahoma has a lot of pecan trees and it is traditional to have both pecan and pumpkin pies at Thanksgiving.
