how do i know if my finger is sprained and how do i treat it?
about a week ago i hurt my finger trying to get a rebound in basketball... i thought it would go away after a few days and i iced it for about a half hour when i got home but it stil hurts. my fingers a little swollen, but just yesterday the top part of my nail (the light part?) started turning blue..? idk if my nail is sprained or jammed or something... if u could tell me wats wrong with it and how to treat it that would be great:) thanx :)

Never heard of a finger nail getting sprained. However that might have came from the impact when you rebounded the bail. Try to ice it once in a while. Just take good care of it by cleaning and avoid any physical contact on it. It will take some time to fully heal, but be patient.

if you dont want to go to the docor all you really need to do is keep it straight, they have finger casts type things at like cvs, walgreens, some place like that. and they work :)
