Would Parliament survive an investigation by the Monopolies and Mergers Commision?

Apart from the colour of the rosettes worn when telling downright lies on the campaign trail, I can see no discernible difference between the Lib/Lab/Con merchants. They all tell you what they will do for you, then go ahead and do whatever they please once in power. I liken them to those American wrestling organisations where they all have these bitter rivalries on the stage, yet once they are behind the scenes, it's all one big happy family.

They keep power between themselves by dividing the nation into classes, when in fact there are only two classes 'Them' and 'Us'. Divide and rule is all they care about and those who profess to understand politics are too blind to see it. If everyone took off their red, blue and yellow tinted specs and put aside their petty rivalries and jealousies, maybe, just maybe we would get a government we could be proud of.

Update:

@ Duffer, thanks for your comment. I don't for one moment think the entire electorate are blind but I do think that a large majority of them are so wrapped up in their own party political prejudices that they fail to look at the bigger picture. I also believe that people like to think that they are politically aware when in actual fact they haven't a clue what goes on behind closed doors within the corridors of power. If the electorate are so wise then why do they return to power those who have robbed the public purse left right and centre?

Just about sums things up . All the same old S hi t e in a different colour bucket. The only thing that amazes me is how gullible people are to keep voting them in. but as a direct answer to the question . Yes they would survive , because the goalposts can be moved and rules changed to suit the current situation.

If everyone thought like you did, we wouldn't be in the bloody mess that were in, and government wouldn't be completely out of control. Our parliament more resembles a filthy rat run under a chicken shed than it does a seat of power. We are over run with political parasites and we need drastic action to scratch the filthy things from our backs. The trouble is that the British are so stuck in this corrosive lib lab con thing. They wont even consider putting their toe in other waters. The 21st century British are so servile and spineless. Frankly they don't deserve democracy or freedom. They are too cowardly to fight for either.

So, let me get this right. What you're saying is that the entire electorate in this country is blind, and only you can see. I think that you should look to rid yourself of your prejudices before you preach to others.
