It used to get hot immediately within 2 miles - now it blows cold! Any suggestions?

Check the coolant level. If low, the heater will not work properly.

Thermosat could be stuck open. How's the dash temp gauge read. Mid line.?? or below.?? Also check coolant level (cold car only), and in the worst case scenario, a plugged heater core.

    we need more info here.

could be a vacuum line that opens a water valve to your heater

could be a stuck thermostat which keeps the engine running cold

could be a door in your heater box which is keeping the hot air from getting out.

could be worse. water leak which means not hot water to give you hot air but then you might notice some engine overheating
