Hard drive error message?
Recently fitted a new Hard drive in an Inspiron 1501aptop. When I start it the machine runs fine for about 15-20 mins then restarts itself. When it reboots the error message 0200 fixed disc error 0 comes up. Any ideas on the cause or a solution?

You are getting the pxe msg because the system cannot find a hard drive to boot from; it is attempting to boot from a network.
It really is pretty simple; either you have a poor connection, failing controller, or just a failing hard drive. Reseat the hard drive and then run the mfg's diagnostic on the drive. You download this from whomever made the drive ie WD, Seagate, etc. Use the dos or boot disk version of the software and boot your system from the CD drive.

The new hard drive could be slightly faulty, so if that is the problem, try putting your old hard drive back in. If it still keeps doing that, then the motherboard hard drive controlling might be going wrong.

sounding like a faulty HDD.
you can try formatting the HDD and installing the OS. don't reinstall. format and then install.
hope this helps. good luck
