Has anyone watched the series The Pacific?

Agree..! I just watched it all in a marathon TV watch. It was good, especially the last two episodes but all in all, Band of Brothers was far, far better. Just the first episodes in the making of soldiers in Band of Brothers was excellent. Then the combat series was even better.

I watched it! I thought it was good, if a little hard to follow. I didn't really know which characters they were trying to focus on until the final 2/3 episodes. It made a lot more sense once I read about where the series was based on. I agree that Band of Brothers is the better of the two!

I just finished it, and I was terribly disappointed. You would think that with such bright lights as Tom Hanks and Stephen Spielburg working on it, the film could have been a lot clearer than it actually was. For one major problems, I had a hard time figuring out who the main characters were! That definitely should not happen in any drama.. I'm going to take the advice posted here and try Band of Brothers.
