I have my name "Mary Kate" tattooed on my knuckles. I am 21 years old. I work for the State of MD as a PC micro technician. Do what YOU want. It's YOUR body. AND they do make concealers for tattoos specifically. If you are second guessing this idea DONT do it. If you have any doubts DONT do it. Remember, unless you want to go through 100 times more pain to get the ink removed, dont get the tattoo.

F the assholes that say youll end up jobless. I have a damn good job with a salary pay, great benefits, etc. I make more money than half of the people my age. I have over 30 tattoos and am allowed to wear whatever i want to my job. I also have my ears stretched out to an inch. I deal with judges FACE TO FACE on a daily basis.

    do what YOU want

    be yourself.

maybe i should have read into this a little more. Geting ur knuckles tattooed as ur first tattoo looks stupid. I have a sleeve..knuckles for ur first tattoo is a bad decision.

If you are going to work in cosmetology or fashion and design, you probably would get hired because you have knuckle tattoos. They would actually be a plus in those fields.

Besides it is always more important to be true to yourself first. Get the tattoo and live your life.

The younger you are the likelier you are to regret your tattoo, especially if its somewhere so visible.

Many employers will turn you down flat just because of having visible tattoo's or over the top piercings. Its unfair but thats just the way it is.

I would wait for that one.

A career in the art field would be more accepting of tattoos, but your not there yet. You still have to work at part time jobs that won't hire you if you have tattoo's on your knuckles.

Hi! I love tattoos and knuckle tattoos are awesome.

However, I would not get it done until I am secured a job, and it wasn't a job I would have to be a "public figure".

Some bosses will refuse to hire you if you have visible tattoos.. (I know, lame right).

So please think this through, even though there are a lot of us who wouldn't care, there still are a LOT of people who will turn you down for a job.

Yes, it's a bad choice. EVERYONE I've known who got a tat in their teens or early 20s regretted it.

Tattoos don't always mean joblessness, although tats on your knuckles will make them next to impossible to hide, and that's a good option to have if you want to have a job in an office some day.
