What kind of exercising can I do safely with a pulled groin muscle?
Two weeks ago I pulled a groin muscle working out. The pain was excruciating. The pain is starting to ease up, and I know the injury is definitely not healed, but I am really anxious to start working out again. My doctor didn't really give me any direction, just told me not to exercise too hard and to avoid the treadmill for a week. I've done that. Where do I go from here?
(I do a full body routine with weights and cardio on the treadmill three times a week. If it matters, I am in my mid 40s and will probably heal much slower than someone younger.)

That's one of the worst injuries you can have. Perhaps some time in the pool doing strokes that are upper body intensive like the breast stroke while taking it easy on the kicking.

Sorry about the pain. I have a ripped tendon in my right arm that keeps me in pain constantly.
Exercise in THIS household is a forbidden word. The only advice I can give you is to rest comfortably, eat the GOOD ice cream, hot chocolate or whatever your vice is, and wait until your fully healed.
No sense aggravating something that is already damaged.
(What about just working upper body for your endorphin rush?)

Don't worry :in anycase you hold better on your back than a goat on her horns!
Don't complain too more about pains then you will become really sick!
Source(s): Now no joke:by Rabelais mens sana in corpore sano the way you will bear pains begin in your brain with usual pains you do learn to live with them there are good ones and bad ones! The doctor can help only the nature and in this case the main treatement do be to slow . If u don't want to have to burn fat slow at Mac Do!
