The only tima a cat would be hanging around your house for a long period of time is because
1) You've left out any meat or yummy foods
2) There is another cat in your house that is not spayed or neutered
3) It just wants shelter (which is really rare unless it is a kitten)
Hope this was helpful!!!

A feral cat will hang out in front of a house where there's a friendly pet cat. Do you have a friendly pet cat? The idea here is that the presence of a well-fed cat means the presence of food for cats.

Maybe he's meant to be your cat. You can take him to any shelter or vet and have him scanned for a microchip. If he's lost, you might find his owner. Otherwise, check Craigslist and newspaper ads for lost cats.
But you do wonder how they choose the people they do. It's a mystery to me, as well.

Maybe he likes the smell of your home? Cats are very sensitive to smell and certain cats prefer a certain household based on the smell.
