We have a cat named Fox and when she was little her other owners had kids, the kids pestered her and pulled on her whiskers and she got scared. then her owner couldn't take her anymore so my mom took her and she was ok but very SCARED! So now even though I pick her up she hates me! so maybe she was like teased when she was little? Now we have 2 new kittens and they are boys (by the way fox is a girl) and they love fox (like are really nice to each other)!

Some cats like to be picked up, carried, and cuddled. Others simply don't. Animals are just like people, they have unique likes/dislikes. Let the cat come to you, sit down, let her sit on your lap. If she doesn't like to be picked up now, she probably never will. Probably just your cat's own unique tastes! (:

Cats don't like to be picked up. Only if they are little, because they feel safe. But when they are adults they don't

Same thing with kids. When they are little they like being picked up. But when they get older they don't Thats cause they became independent, and they don't want to be bothered anymore.

How would you feel if a giant cat came up to you and picked you up? Cats don't want to be picked up by people either.
