My 2 year old is terrified of water being poured on her head?
Has anyone been through this? She was a little scared of it/would whine when I got the cup. Now, 2-3 months later, she FREAKS OUT. Starts climbing out of the tub, contorts her body so that it's impossible to put her back in the tub. No matter what I do, it just doesn't seem to do any good. Does anyone know what this is? Or why it is happening? Is it just a phase?

My 2.5 yo does the same thing. I think it is just the age. They are understanding and realizing what they like and don't like. The best you can do is be clam and comfort her in knowing that you are there and nothing is going to happen!
Good luck!

Ahhh, this stage.
My niece went through this when she hit two years old. It eventually goes away. If yours is anything like mine, little stories and games help a LOT. Her mom was at her wits end trying to figure out what to do. At first it was 'Pony baths' which consisted of having her my little ponies in the tub with her, and washing their hair with the cup, and then telling her that ponies like to have their hair washed, and that worked incredibly well for a little bit. Then we were 'mermaids' and all mermaids had to get their hair washed for the 'Seashell ball" and it got to the point that she'd put her head back so her hair would get wet from the faucet and would giggle hysterically. Maybe that will work for your little girl! Best of luck!

Same here. So I started joining my daughter in her baths and let her poor water on my head. I also let her wash my hair and she had so much fun playing with the bubbles. I did this like 3 times or so and now she is okay with the cup.

it's sooo normal! With my daughter I would let her place a face cloth over her face and I would have her tip her head back while I poured the water. That worked;)

Why it's happening isn't as important as helping her deal with this fear. And the best way to deal with it is to give her control. Let HER do the pouring.
All the best.
