In California, at what age can a son or daughter, on their own, acquire criminal records of a parent?

Update:

So, Alien, are you saying a 13 year old child can get the criminal records of her father? You failed to answer my question. I know it's public record, but at what age can children go into a court house or whatever and get those records without the accompaniment of an adult?

He answered the question. You just did not understand the answer. Public record means public record. A 13 year old is a member of the public and generally has a right to access records. The law does not carve out exceptions as to who has access to public records. In most states, criminal histories are maintained by the state police. You pay the fee, you receive the record.

Is it not true that criminal records are public records. I think so. I can get court records about anyone. Just go to the court house and buy them.
