Why does Yahoo! Answers penalize people....?

The other day I saw a question posted that I thought was rude and threatening, something to do with the AZ shootings and the person was saying something that to me it read like he sympathized with the shooter so I called him an idiot and yahoo answers erased my answer and took away points...don't know if they removed the question but what gives? A person can't tell and idiot that he's an idiot?

It's not Yahoo that removes your answer, it is other users that reported you. Anyone can hit the report button for any reason. If enough do, then your answer gets yanked, you lose points, and you get a violation notice (VN) in your email.

The VN will show you how to appeal. If your appeal is successful, you will get your answer and points reinstated.

I've heard it helps to appeal a 2nd time if the first is denied.

Some of these questions do bring the worst out of people, but it's still against the Community Guide Lines. I've got a violation once for calling someone st**id.

because someone reported it as a violation cos you cant call an idiot an idiot as you might hurt there feelings

    you can appeal against it

Q&As are removed as violations based on user reports. Your conduct was an obvious violation and people reported it. Rude is usually not considered a violation and most people did not report it. If you thought it was a violation, you should have reported it, not broken the rules yourself.

i think of of people could desire to basically be allowed to have a distinctive style of questions open at one time. as promptly as their decrease is reached, they might no longer ask yet yet another question till they picked suitable strategies or voted on their questions. i think of of persons who %. suitable strategies to questions could desire to get better aspects back than the people who enable their question bypass to balloting. Or, if the question is going to balloting, it expenses one better 2 or 3 or 5 aspects. on the instantaneous, they the two get 3 aspects back on an analogous time as a query is resolved. It makes you journey like people do basically no longer even care what the respond is on an analogous time as questions bypass into balloting perpetually. If there is not any suitable strategies to the question, the asker can basically delete it in the past the answering era is up. on an analogous time as questions bypass to balloting, a stable style of the time the appropriate answer would not get picked. some people vote for comedian tale strategies or the worst answer. some people get their acquaintances/contacts/followers to vote for their answer, no bear in mind how stable or undesirable this is.
