what is the best end of civilization vehicle or mode of transportation?
ok, so you have your food supply, your means of protection etc etc for that "just in case" scenario. No, here is my question: What if you are at home, and your loved ones are at school, work etc and let's say, the predicted solar flares occur, and it knocks out all the electronics, including phones, radio, tv AND the electronics in your vehicle. Suddenly, you cannot contact family or friends, and you know have to find a way to travel the required distances to pick up your kids at school, and your significant other, with a distance to be traveled round trip of 40 miles. OK, what is the mode of transportation you would have on hand, or want to complete the journey quickly and safely, and be able to carry yourself, 2 kids and a spouse? best answer gets full 10 points.
To "toyota sucks" please re read my question. No vehicle made in 2011 is going to be running if the solar flares and EMP that results, like NASA predicts, occurs in the next couple of years!!
There is a possibility that pre electronic ignition/pre computer cars made in the 50's and 60's MAY still run.
