If you keep your cat in the house he really doesn't need shots.

Your best bet is a low-cost shot clinic. While in some places you can get vaccines without a prescription, the rabies vaccine doesn't "count" unless it has been administered by a licensed vet. If your cat ever bit someone, he would be treated the same as a cat that did *not* have a rabies vaccine, as it wasn't administered by a licensed vet. I'd suggest calling around your local shelters to see what's available to you, as he's at that age that he needs to be neutered, or you risk him spraying.

Our one local shelter charges $8 for a FVRCP vaccine, and $12 for the rabies one. Very affordable - and the neuter is only $50 and that comes with a free rabies vaccine. I am sure you can find something similar, so start calling around.

Look for a low cost clinic instead. I get my cats their needed shots for $5 a pop and it was only $25 to have them fixed.

If you live in a rural area call a feed store and ask them about shots for cats - like a place when you would buy the stuff to take care of cows and horses. That's where my dad got the shots for our pets when I was a kid.

It would be illegal for you to do so. Also, you would have to obtain the vaccines illegally as they are not available to anyone that is not a licensed vet. Go to the vet. You should also have him neutered as soon as possible. If money is any issue, most human societies have spay and neuter programs so you can get it done for a very small fee. Also, when this is performed, you can usually get all of the shots at this time for a minimal fee. Or this is how our HS works.

Yes you can and it is easy to do. Foster and Smith sells the vaccines. All cats should have vacs. Younger and older cats can get upper respiratory problems. There are diseases out there that are air borne and can kill your cat even if she never steps outside.i am sure there are other placers that sell the vac. Fosters and Smith have pics as to where you give the shots.

    For cats, no.

There are not any over the counter shots available for cats, but there are for dogs. However, it is important you know that vaccines/shots for dogs are not meant for cats so, do not attempt.

Yess I think soooo. Well I know u can for dogs because we gave our dogs their shots and its way cheaper than going to a vet.
