Problem with a new Inspirion Dell Computers?
I got a new Dell computer from a friend. When ever you turn it off or restart it anything that has been down loaded or installed is gone. Example: My wireless connection, pictures, music even firefox. Could some one tell me what may have happened to cause this. I tried contacting Dell it was pretty useless. Thanks in advance.
No what I mean is when I turn it off and turn it back on nothing I down loaded or saved including notebook is there. It says song empty, pictures empty, notebook empty. I have to reinstall my wireless card just so I can get on the internet. Even the picture I saved as my back ground is gone and the default on is up. Its like I never down loaded or saved anything to it. It also had to reinstall the wireless mouse and key board each time. Its a desk top not lap top. Also I have another computer and have had it for 8 years so I'm not computer literate but I cant figure this out.

That's very unlikely. Downloaded data doesn't just disapear. You mean that a file you downloaded and actually is present in a map, not being a temporary files map, is gone after you reboot? That would mean the reboot process would delete the file which normally just doesn't happen.
But i think you mean something else but i don't know exactly what.

that's glaring no longer virus or something utility suited. this is larger like your exhibit difficulty. Get it fastened by potential of technique of a professional or basically purchase a sparkling exhibit. oh... wait, you're applying pc... then you definately can in basic terms get it fastened by potential of technique of a professional now or purchase a sparkling pc.

your friend may set up auto restore to that laptop or something that familiar with that.
in my campus they do the same, try google about it.
i don't know what its called exactly.
