How to unblock a blocked ear!!?

Okay so this has been driving me crazy! I have had a blocked ear even since i took a flight about 1 week ago. And I have tried everything, I am chewing gum as I type, I have yawned several thousand times and swallowed 'hard' many many times. It just won't budge!

Also now my throat is in agonising pain, so I can't even swallow hard at all.

My ear has gone through stages of being blocked, sometimes it's fine and not too blocked at all, and then at other times it just goes crazy and I can hardly hear- or even taste! The only solution at the moment is to lay on my bed and dangle my head off the bed so my head it lower than the rest of my body but as soon as I sit up my ear gets blocked again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank you :)

sounds like water in your ear. If it is on the outside of your ear drum, you can soak a cotton ball in alcohol and put that in your ear to draw out the water. If you desire, you can purchase a little bottle at the drugstore that is used for swimmers ear. If this doesn't work, you may have water on the inside. For that you will need an antibiotic from the dr.

sounds like an ear an infection, ive had some, theyre very painful and could final a whilst yet dont do long term injury :) you may pass to a doctor, yet i dont think of that they provide medicine for ear infections snymore as they are basically seen an inconvinience. yet yours sounds extremely undesirable, so which you may desire to pass besides, just to verify in case you may get some therapy. do not attempt to unblock it using fact what you sense is tension from the fluid build up in the back of your ear drum, thats what reasons the discomfort, yet to unblock it devoid of the anti biotics you may could desire to pop your ear drum. Dont do it, it could harm and reason you to lose your listening to on your left ear. desire this helped
