B&A: Have you ever asked a question from your character's point of view?
Before I say any more, I forgot to introduce myself. My name’s Ingrid and I’m a main character. My creator is chained to the floor in her closet with duct tape over her mouth. Guess who put her there? Me! I just couldn’t resist it, she never lets me ask questions on her Y!A account! Now I know why she loves asking questions, it's so much fun! Maybe I should do this more often...
So anyway, before I bore you, have you ever asked a question from your character's point of view?
BQ: Since I’m assuming there are no other characters here, I have a question for you writers. What is one of the worst things you’ve put your main character through? Do you take pleasure in such things?
BQ2: Quick, put your character on the line and let them answer a quick question!
If you met your creator, could you two ever become friends?

i've made up a lot of characters and at times i kind of think like them (my current user name- Zero- is actually a name for one of my favorite characters), but i haven't answered as any yet.
the worst things i have done to my characters? well let me think and list a couple... I trapped Zero in a coffin for a very long time, gotten another character to give up everything she had worked for in her life to save someone else, another character is a cursed vampire who goes on a rampage and kills several people that he cares for... that's all i could think of at the moment.
Zero: No. I wouldn't be friends with her. barely acquaintances is more appropriate. sure, a couple of good things have happened. but not much. so if we ever met, i'd just hang out in the other side of the room, or just leave.

Nope. It could be a good idea though. Normally my character doesn't care what the public thinks about anything though, so he'd have to ask something he literally didn't know, and no an opinion questions.
BQ: My character's daughter was killed, his wife divorced him, his mother calls him every day, and he is sent bombs by a crazy serial killer which frequently blow up parts of his house. I don't take pleasure in it, I'm not sadistic! It just happens that way. I'm sorry character! I know I'm a horrible person.
BQ2: Well, regardless of our somewhat massive age differences and different places in life I think it's possible. I'm not sure I could be exactly friends with her, I think I'd just hold a begrudging kind of respect for her.

No, actually I haven't. I should sometime though.
BQ1:
I had my MC Jamie grow up in a pretty rough life - abusive parents, crappy relationships, divorce; and then had her get in a terrible car accident resulting in a coma that lasts for a week. - so yes. - did I enjoy it? Not at all. I basically put her through a different version of my own life and induced the coma to save her, as ironic as it sounds. I'm sort of using her to work through some of my own problems. Selfish - i know.
BQ2:
*waits until Jamie wakes from her coma*
me: "Jamie.. I know you're a bit befuddled but do you mind speaking to my pals here on the internet real quick?"
Jamie: "W-where am I? What's going on? Mom..dad??"
Me: "You were in a coma darling, and you've just woken up. The confusion will wear off soon enough."
Jamie: "What the hell?? Wait.. what question am I supposed to be answering?"
Me: "If you met me in person (as you just have) would we ever become friends?"
Jamie: "Well aren't you the reason I'm here in this hospital right now"
Me: "Sorta but.."
Jamie: "No. No we would not."

No, I haven't. Though that is an interesting idea...
BQ: I've put Zira through a lot. I had her right leg amputated, her memories lost (though in all fairness, I did give them back...eventually), I had the love of her life betray her. Oh, and let's not forget all the people she cared about that I killed. Sorry, Zira.
BQ2:
Zira: I don't know. This author of mine is kind of timid and annoyingly concerned with making other people happy. I'm more of a go-getter. I'm selfish and arrogant. My creator doesn't really like arrogance. It might take us a while to warm up to each other.

...no. Why can't some characters just be more quiet and serious? They all seem to be bouncing and giddy on here.
BQ: No, I'm not a sadist. Don't you think a truly sadistic writer might feel better that way? Get really involved with their characters, feel like they're alive, and then slaughter them and bring them back to life again.

Have I ever asked a question from the point of view of my character: Yes, several.
BQ: I don't think I can choose...
BQ2: Definitely not. I hate who I am, I hate what I am, I hate the powers I possess, and I don't want to live up to anyone else's standards but my own. ~Eve

Oh my, I hope she's okay! :o
;) But back to the question... no, I've never asked a question from Sarah's point of view, nor have I allowed her to tie me up just so she can ask one herself. I mean, she's never asked! :)
BQ1: I... I killed her parents. Not me, literally, but... I had someone kill them... >_< I certainly don't take pleasure in Sarah's pain. She's just too much of a sweetheart, even if she never lets anyone see that side of her.... X3
BQ2: Waah! Sarah, come here quickly! [rushes out of the room]
Sarah: ... [is deeply confused]

Nopes. Never have--but it's definitely something to consider. ^_^
BQ: Well I made one of my characters get stabbed straight in the foot just to keep her running away from the Madam, then I made her watch her boyfriend get stabbed. Lots of blood! And of course I loved writing every bit of it!
BQ2: ...I don't know...she talks a lot. T_T
I don't like that. And between me and you *looks around cautiously* she has the IQ of a piece of lint.

Actually I think I have....but I am not sure. Its fun....
BQ: Her Rebellion . I mean I know what happened last year. I know, she was bullied to her ends wit. But she shouldn't of made the choices she made.
BQ: Kasey Lewis here. I am sure we could if we put our differences asides. Like her making me, go into those woods, and her making me almost lose my mind. I am sure, we could do it!

No, I haven't. I don't ask a lot of questions.
BQ: Um lets see... Well they kinda do it to themselves. Yeah.
BQ2: Probably not.
