Do deniers love depending on OPEC and paying high gas prices cause its not called a tax?
With oil going over $100 per barrel every time the Middle East goes into turmoil. Do deniers love the fact that they are going to pay over $3, going onto $4+ for a gallon of gasoline? Also their investments take a hit every time there's turmoil in OPEC nations.
How big of a tax is all that on you? Yet the deniers love the dependence on OPEC and panic if they think dealing with the realities of climate change might take out a few bucks from their wallets.
@Moe Most of the world does not have as many deniers as the U.S. does, and does not depend on gasoline / petrol as they have a lot more public transport.
@Peter So you think we have enough oil in the U.S. to make a dent? Even if we did how long do you think that will last?
@Dent Oil is already over $100 a barrel and the Dow already dropped 250 in 2 days, enjoy. Other than that the game is over, I've proved what I proved and no amount of your fancy moonwalk dancing will change that.
Oh my my, I have to laugh, and isn't it ironic that George Orwell is here to help orchestrate the Double Speak.
The denier children born out of Exxon and other oil + coal company monopolies buying out scientists to start this denial campaign. Where is the big push for renewables they ask and how are we innocents to blame? Well you people are the followers of the most ruthless campaign to try to halt the world from using alternate forms of energy, and to slow down the massive destruction campaign against Earth. These companies bribe politicians so that they continue to get money from the government to continue the farce. Theses companies are so rich that they can afford to take a $42 Billion loss for recklessly spilling oil in the Gulf and think nothing of it! Also you people are following the most despicable irresponsible selfish path.
Oil was expensive too once upon a time, It only got cheaper later. Just the same any form of energy may be expensive in the beginning.
No way should
No way should we continue to drill for oil in the US. The renewable industry is gaining momentum, and you won't halt it this time. Many forms of energy are getting cheaper and more efficient. They don't require huge companies to do it. All countries and companies can do it and thats the biggest reason it won't stop. Cause when people see their independence they go for it!

Raj,
Wasn't OPEC (Overeating Pigbearmen Ecoterrorist Communists) a hoax invented by Al Gore?
And you did hear, did you not, that the Royal Society has again proven irrevocably that oil prices are lower now than since the days when the Vikings skinny-dipped in Greenland. (Last week, the Royals had no idea what the price of oil was, because car-alarmists had blown out their ear drums out hiding the "raw price data," but TWO weeks RS had sediment-rock solid evidence, only infinitesimally revocable, that oil prices had fallen steadily ever since Sarah Palin discovered Russia at the end of her drill baby drill.)
Prices never go up except when liberals raise taxes. That's why clever banks have made so much money investing in mortgage backed securities.

I like your question.
We do not like depending on OPEC but until we start extracting the oil we have available in this country, we will just have to deal with it.
At one hundred dollars a barrel, oil is still cheaper than any alternative fuel sources available.
T Boone Pickens lost 2 billion dollars trying to make wind energy feasible. He said it could not be done.
As for other countries, they receive a lot of dollars in the name of Global Warming. It is just one more example of spreading the wealth around.
I disagree with ethanol because it has driven food prices up by 30% but I am sure your dooms day crowd is quite alright with the rest of the world starving if it means you have accomplished an alternative fuel source.
Why don't you guys say anything about the email communications between the main proponents of Global Warming. What was the question? How are we going to explain why the earth has cooled down in the last decade. I for one agree with the email messages and not the published position of the same people.

Um, considering that only the past decade have we saw any movement World wide into alternative forms of vehicles I don't see how that is the fault of "deniers". The automotive industry around the World had no incentive for a long time to change. If you haven't noticed, over the past decade we have seen a lot more hybrid vehicles and alternative fuel vehicles being produced. Also, do you understand that the price of oil has nothing to do with climate change?
For me, since in 2008 we had gas around $4 a gallon that is the new price that I try to plan for. I also buy small engine vehicles that get around 30 mpg or more.

there is diverse oil in the floor, the oil cartels have succeeded in gouging the international for income. At one time there have been oil generating international locations like Nigeria and others who refused to bypass alongside with the better expenses yet that appears passe. regionally, we've not outfitted any refineries in a lot of years which also supplies to gasoline expenses with the aid of a grant and insist. it is portion of the oil company monopoly because it is not any longer of their interest to construct more beneficial refineries that could want to scale back the provision and insist fueling decrease expenses. the element is, it would not fee those oil manufacturers any more beneficial money to pump it out of the floor, it is fantastically a lot lining wallet on the fee of people's lives. i'm disenchanted that congress blocked the providence tax on the oil businesses that could want to have levied heavy taxes on the further sales that the oil businesses are making in this to shrink their greed. The oil businesses are making list income and it type of feels human beings were misled on the nature of the providence tax. i'm hoping this facilitates quell the environmentalist who've stopped the U.S. from arising it is tremendous oil reserves. there is ton's of oil off the California coast that has been succesfully blocked, and there is not any solid reason no longer to tap all that oil alongside the item Circle in Alaska.

No, but wheres that big push for alternative energy incentives. Mostly talk and token gestures because the world still operates on fossil fuels(reality check).
Something else you should know: bio fuel production is dependent on fossil fuels consumption. Anyway its taxed nationally and locally...you must be from another planet? There is an international surcharge/excise rate index also.

I am a denier - I want to build Nuclear Plants as fast as possible, and drill in the gulf, Alaska, and everywhere we can to get off foriegn oil.
- PeterLv 61 decade ago
Quite the opposite. Those skeptical of AGW want more drilling of oil to decrease the dependency on OPEC. But the AGW scam artist have convinced sheep in Washington to block as much oil drilling in the US as possible. That is why you are seeing high oil prices. It's all the fault of environmentalist.
It's time to drill here and drill now and put an end to the AGW foolishness.

Considering that I pay $0.46 cents per gallon in tax...It's too late not to call it a tax. Then there is the ethanol boondoggle on top of that.
But no, we want to break our dependence on foreign oil, but a certain party of "no" will not let us drill in the US, imposed a moratorium on drilling in the Gulf (where a third of the US oil comes from, the rest in imported from Canada and Venezuela), and has nothing to offer but $41K electric cars with a range of 50 miles.
Quick, show me a graph of Co2! Distract! Obfuscate!

Of course you're ignoring the cost of gasoline in most of the world, and actually we'd love for it to be called a tax, that way we wouldn't have to pay additional taxes on what we spend on gasoline.

Well considering how well OPEC is doing thanks to the AGW scam, it wouldn't surprise me if they were helping to fund the scam.
The US is sitting on Trillions of barrels of oil but because of stupid restrictions we are not drilling for it. There is enough to last for a long time.

I guess it's the better education in the US that keep people from being suckered in the biggest scam in history.
