Should I be worried about this cat bite?
About a half hour ago I was playing with my cat when he bit me wicked hard and left 4 small bite marks (and a scratch mark from his back claw) on my arm. The bite itself immediately got all swollen and red so I washed them with soap and warm water. Now it is still just as swollen, red and feels warm to the touch. It doesn't hurt or anything, I am just worried it might be infected. What should I do?

Cat bites are more likely to get infected than dog bites, try peroxide or polysporine, if it doesn't get better, get it checked out

My cat always plays rough with me. My hands are actually scarred from all the scratch marks and bite marks. So from experience dealing with the wounds, as well as being a nurses assistant, you did the best possible thing by washing it with soap and water. Since it just happened, it will be red, swollen, and sore for the night. And probably start feeling better by tomorrow. Just keep it clean. If you are going to be using your hands for anything, you could use a rubber glove over it, or a bandaid to keep dirt and stuff from getting in the wound. Signs of infection would be it pussing yellow or green discharge, or hurting. Other then that, it should heal fine.

Any bite or scratch you get from an animal will get red and raised a little, but if it looks really bad, it could be infected. Cat scratches and bites get infected very easily. I don't think it's an allergic reaction because it would be VERY bad by now if it was. Put some antibiotic cream on it and if it gets worse or doesn't get better in a while, see your doctor.

If the skin isn't broken it should be fine. Wash it as you did and put some antibiotic ointment on like neosporin.
If the bite broke the skin, drew blood, or begins to REALLY swell, you will need antibiotics and possibly pain meds
Cat bites are the dirtiest bites next to a human bite and the infection is incredibly painful

If it's a PUNCTURE (and not just marks and redness), you might want to call the doctor for some Amoxicillin.
Cats have very dirty mouths, and 90% of puncture wounds get infected.
This is one of the reasons it's so dangerous for cats to get in a fight -- sepsis, which can lead to death.

My cat at all times performs difficult with me. My fingers are actually scarred from the entire scratch marks and chunk marks. So from expertise coping with the wounds, as good as being a nurses assistant, you probably did the great viable factor by using washing it with soap and water. Seeing that it simply occurred, it is going to be red, swollen, and sore for the night time. And quite often feeling better by tomorrow. Just preserve it easy. If you're going to be making use of your fingers for some thing, you would use a rubber glove over it, or a bandaid to maintain filth and stuff from getting in the wound. Signs of contamination would be it pussing yellow or green discharge, or hurting. Different then that, it must heal excellent.

You might have a mild allergy to cats. Same thing happens to my son & me. We always have Benadryl cream or spray on hand.

ANd yes, i think you may have some allergies to cats. No worries though. My cat bites and scratches me SUPER HARD, and very often.
