JW's, do you think it displeases Jehovah when you gang vote for one another?

Interesting that all the thumbs up for classicly pro-Witness answers are the same. not that it makes any difference, but isn't it a comment on character when the first group of answers that favor the orgaanization are all the same number? isn't that a little , just a little bit dishonest, not to mention self serving and egotistical. What do you think Jehovah thinks about it?

I may be the exception here -

But I very seldom give thumbs up or thumbs down.

Something has to stand out - logically, research wise, or a great illustration for me to thumbs up.

Not that I don't think that other answers are not correct. I have had that rule since day one.

I also use the same line of thinking for a thumbs down. The non-sensical, the mistaken, and the sincere but sincerely wrong I can pass up the thumbs down. But when it borders on slander, stupidity, or outright racist or clearly deceptive, then I do definitely give a thumbs down.

Perhaps this question should make me begin to give MORE thumbs up to my brothers and sisters. And more thumbs down to those who don't agree.

If I did that, it might make your question a little more reasonable, but since I don't, it does not carry the weight you have intended.

If I agree with an answer, you're telling me that I'm being "dishonest" for giving it a thumbs up? What do you suggest I do exactly?

Are you suggesting that I should thumbs-down answers I agree with or that I should recuse myself from giving a thumbs up or down based on who the person is answering? That's a serious question.

Really, the trend you notice has at its root the Witnesses' adherence to the scriptural exhortation found at 1 Corinthians 1:10. Look it up and think about it, that should give you some insight into how Jehovah feels about it.

Are you talking about voting or thumbs up? I thumbs up many people both JW's and not. If they have a somewhat intelligent answer, they get a TU. I even go into others Q's and will TU, EVERYONE.

Of course, all people are going to TU the ones they agree with. That is only normal. I even have a question right now on "Integrity and Conviction"...you will have to catch it. So, my answer is, if I have enough "conviction" in my beliefs as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and I am on this public forum proclaiming those beliefs, why would I not give my brothers and sisters thumbs up? Did I miss something.

I thumbs up everybody just in case you want to know. After I read the answers, of course. :)

Why does it matter? Thumbs mean nothing to me. Trust me, i get so many downs that i lost count. I always thumbs up the good answers, and the insulting ones always get a down. Which make them many sometimes.

And if you count the ups, it is usually the same number of ups as there are witnesses answering. So we do thumb up each other, because we agree with the answers each other have given.

And like you said, not that it makes any difference. Thumbs does not denote TC, or BA. I always just see it as, if i agree with it, i thumb it up, if not, i thumb it down. How is that egotistical? Or dishonest?

I know that say, bubbles, or abernathy, or porceline, or me me me, or buster bluth, or two G or jack, or i know i am missing some. But i know that they are going to give good answers, and they do, so i give them a thumbs up. Only after i read them though.

What are you on about. I never "gang vote" for anyone and I'm not aware of any Witnesses on this site who do.

If I think a correct answer is well thought out, polite, respectful, funny, wise, hits the nail on the head, and generally reflects well on Jehovah's name, it gets a thumbs up from me.

If I think an answer is incorrect, deliberately misleading or lying, irrelevent, rude, insulting or otherwise just plain WRONG in all ways, it gets a thumbs down.

Who cares anyway. I've gotten thumbs down before and I don't lose any sleep over it.

@ Rustic: I thought we were talking about thumbs up/thumbs down. I have no way of knowing who thumbs down my answers or who reports my answers or votes for themselves and tbh I don't care anymore. There's more important stuff to worry about.

As for your other comments. No one told me to block you, I make my own decisions.

Sorry if you're mad that I blocked you, but to be frank I've observed your Q/As lately and you're either making repeated untrue claims about the Witnesses or attacking your nemesis (lol) you know who he is - also I have had a couple of questions for the Witnesses recently deleted for NO reasons, they were not in violation nor were they harming anyone, I'm not saying it was you but you understand it has made me very wary from now on who I allow access to my Q/As.

You know I've returned to the Witnesses so you will also understand I now have to safeguard my renewed relationship with Jehovah and limit association with those who constantly oppose his people.

In his way Stalin replaced into yet another Hitler, and Stalin lasted longer in ability, and died of previous age, nonetheless in ability. Stalin replaced into in charge of Soviet Russia, an substantial us of a. because that ingredient there have been quite a few dictators in charge of countries that have had extensive effect, e.g.Ghaddafi in Libya (small us of a by using inhabitants, yet huge effect because of the fact of oil), Mao Tse Tung in China and Saddam Hussein in Iraq (oil, lower back, and verify out the chaos in Iraq because he replaced into deposed). no one can anticipate the destiny, yet i would not be stunned to locate a dictator in a matching place to Hitler at some time.

When an answer is correct, it is simply correct. The purpose of voting is to choose correct answers. It does not matter who posts it. Are you trying to say people should vote for false, incorrect or very wrong answers? What is the point of that?

  • We don't 'gang vote' for one another.

I will thumb up any answer that I think is good, and that includes answers from non-JW's

You are displaying a bit of paranoia (with all due respect)

Really, we have better things to do with our time

    Hope that helps!
