    On modern cars yes. If the alternator or starter have an internal short, then it is possible for the battery to be drained.

    Yes it can drain the battery if shorted but very rare to happen.if your battery is going dead over night check somewhere else first" trunk light glove box vanity mirrors or just a dead cell in battery"

    just about any electrical component/circuit COULD make a battery die. test the battery and alternator first. if both of them test out good, test for a parasitic drain.

    yes , to test the alternator remove the main + lead overnight then check bat. for proper volts in morn.

    nope. all it dose is charge the battery when the car is running
