International address for tax return?
Hi, for years I was living and working in the USA as a resident alien for tax purposes (namely H1b visa), I have left in the fall of 2010, now returned to Europe and i am about to file my taxes. I wonder if I could use my current non-US address on my 2010 tax return. Will it affect my taxes? Will IRS allow me to use a foreign address? A good friend has offered to use his US address and he forwards my mails to me. However, I do not want to misuse his kindness and would prefer to use my current address abroad in case it is possible.

You can, and should, use the address, anywhere in the world, that you now live. It does not have to be in the U.S. Citizens of the U.S. who have not lived there in many years are still required to file U.S. taxes, even if they no longer have a U.S. address to use.
If you are also filing a state income tax return, then it should show your current, foreign address as your "mailing address" and you more recent U.S. residence (even if you no longer get mail there) as your "permanent" address.

use an address where you can be reached by mail if IRS has any communication to send you
