Decent state schools with late deadlines?
To make a long story short, I'm unhappy with the schools I ended up applying to. They're good, private liberal arts schools, and now I'm finding that I want less controlling, large state schools in ..a variety of areas.
Could I get suggestions for what schools are still accepting applications? I'd like a public university, not a community college though, with fair and affordable out of state tuition. I'm an A/B student and I have very high ACT English/reading scores with a fair science score and poor math score.
I've been looking into trying to make a SUNY or Wyoming University school affordable. I'm getting a little desperate and would like suggestions as to where to look. I'd prefer to be able to live on my own as a freshman, and California is a no because of its "no ferrets" law.

I attend the University of Wyoming, and I think it is a good school. I am a resident so I get to pay around $1800 per semester but for out of state the tuition is about $6000 per semester which is still really good. It is not hard to apply to UW at all- their ACT requirements aren't as high as some other universities. I am not sure where you are from but if you live in the west, you should see if your state participates in WUE (western undergraduate exchange) as there are scholarships for WUE students as well. I applied to this school is September, and started in January, so they are pretty flexible with admissions.
Info about the school:
It is in Laramie, WY which has a population of around 30,000 people making it the third largest in the state. There are some activites here, but not a lot. It is about a 40 minute drive to Cheyenne, WY and I would guess about 1 hour 20 minute drive to Ft. Collins, CO which both have more activities. Denver, CO is probably 1 hour 45 minutes away. The school has a nice campus and they are working on revovating the buildings. They actually have really good latte's- I highly recommend the Almond Joy, but that is me. :) From my experience, the instructors do their best to help you understand the material, and have flexible office hours. There are not very many stadium classes... there are only a handful of large classrooms that hold 100+ students. My teachers know my name which is awesome.
