Right now Continental Airlines owns Continental Airlines but they will soon merge with United Airlines and the name United Airlines will appear on all aircraft. The parent company will be called United Continental Holdings, Inc.

It's an incorporated or limited company, so the shareholders do. Even companies with personal names like Lauda Air or famous brands like Virgin have shareholders.
