Is Jason DeRulo dead?
My friend is ridiculously trying to convince everyone that he is dead. She says he died around Christmas time and that he died in car crash.
Where does she get this information? Is there a spark of truth anywhere in it?
She won't believe anyone who tries to tell her that he is alive, I'm hoping that she will believe it if she sees people answering this question.
Thanks!
5 AnswersR&B & Soul8 years agoWhat is with all the hockey players?
I used to come on here quite a lot, browsing the questions and things like that. I looked through some of the questions today after not visiting this website for a few months, and was amazed at how many negative answers and questions hockey players were answering and asking about figure skaters. I know that there has always been this sort of friction between them, but why has it suddenly hit Yahoo! Answers? It's really annoying and mean.
Also, we never purposefully attack them and say their sport is stupid and pointless and easy, so why do it to us?
4 AnswersIce Skating9 years agoAre they the same person?
After reading the manga, I watched Hana Kimi a few months ago (the 2007 Japanese version), then I started watching Absolute Boyfriend tonight.
I noticed that Soshi from Absolute Boyfriend looks just like Minami from Hana Kimi. I looked it up, but I can't find any record of the Absolute Boyfriend TV series except the Chinese one, which isn't the one I'm watching (I think I'm watching a Japanese version).
My question is: Are Soshi and Minami played by the same actor?
1 AnswerComics & Animation9 years agoHaving trouble tuning guitar?
Okay, so I have a six string guitar and I got it out yesterday. No one has used it for at least a year, so needless to say, it was out of tune.
I don't play the guitar, but I read TAB so I tried tuning it so if I wanted to play it I could.
I have a metronome that also has a tuner on it, so I used that to see what the notes were. Now the lower 5 strings (E, A, D, G, B) are all in tune but the high e does this weird thing where when I play it: it says A on the tuner's screen but then after a second it changes to E. I tried retuning it, assuming I hadn't tuned it properly, but it always does this (ie. when it was tuned to Fsharp, it first came up as B but then changed after a second).
Is there any way I could tune the E string properly? Or is it that I'm not plucking the string right? Or do I need a NEW string?
Please answer this, and if I used any weird made up terminology, don't be mean, I'm a flautist.
4 AnswersOther - Music9 years agoWhere could I find this music to skate to?
I've been trying to find a skating medley of "My Fair Lady" OR "Hello! Dolly" songs, but I don't know where to look.Could someone recommend some good websites for skating music? I found one, Sportmusic.com but I couldn't find what I was looking for, and each song costs $50. I would like to find something cheaper than that.
4 AnswersIce Skating10 years agoIs Outnumbered still being filmed?
I love the BBC series, Outnumbered, but I haven't heard of or seen a new episode since the 2009 Christmas special. Does anyone know if they have stopped filming it or something?
It might have something to do with that Daniel Roche was in "Just William", and Ramona Marquez was in "The King's Speech"?

5 AnswersAir Travel1 decade agoWhy CAN'T they go to the worlds?
All of you have seen the questions "Can I start skating? I'm 13..." "Is 15 too old to start?" "Would a 12 year old be able to start figure skating?".
All the answers are something along the lines of "Yes. It's never too late. But you can't do Worlds or Nationals."
Who exactly has decided this?
If you are 12-15, why CAN'T you start figure skating and go to the nationals or Olympics? If you start when you are 9 and go to the Olympics at age 16, that is 7/8 years. If you start at 15, go to the Olympics at 23, that's also 7/8 years.
Why is everyone under the impression that you have to be young to go far? Isn't that a really negative way of thinking about it?
I understand the flexibility thing, but why does this mean that you are never going to be able to do nationals just because you're older?
6 AnswersIce Skating1 decade agoLongest strawberry lace?
My four friends and I are tying strawberry laces together to make the longest strawberry lace ever. What we don't know is the current record.
Does anyone know what the current record is?
2 AnswersEntertaining1 decade agoWhat good books and films are there about figure skating?
I really would like to find some figure skating books and films. Do you know of any good ones?
I have already seen both versions of Ice Castles, and I'm reading the book by Ice Leonore Fleischer. I have also read White Boots by Noel Streatfeild.
Thanks in advance!
I would prefer fiction, but non-fiction are good, too.
5 AnswersIce Skating1 decade agoWhen am I likely to start axels and doubles?
I know there are a lot of questions like this, sorry.
I have been skating since March, and I skate for about 3-5 hours a week.
The jumps I can already do are waltz jump, salchow, toe loop, and I'm working on the loop and flip.
I know that I will do the lutz next, then salchow, then doubles- but can anyone give me a period of time that it will probably take, like 6 months or a year?
6 AnswersIce Skating1 decade agoHow much of a bank note do you have to have to spend it?
Yeah, I know, weird question, but I'm just curious :).
I mean if you ripped it, is there some rule like you have to have more than half of it, or at least three corners?
3 AnswersOther - Business & Finance1 decade agoWhy do judges hate lyrics?
Whenever anyone on Yahoo! Answers wants help for a song to skate to, either they say or an answerer says something along the lines of "Don't use anything with words, judges don't like them.".
I've been wondering, why do judges care whether your music has words or not? Does it make someone not as good a skater if they have words in their songs? Why take off points for a wonderful skater, just because they chose a song with lyrics?
Thank you in advance!
5 AnswersIce Skating1 decade agoHow to make an edible volcano eruption?
At school, my class were told we had to make a volcano and make it erupt. My teacher showed us a few examples from other classes. One of them was a cake, which he said they had made some sort edible foam or explosion. He said they ate it afterwards so everyone in the class were saying things like "Oh, I hope someone makes one like that!" so my friend and I decided that we would.
We need to make the volcano explode. Does anyone know how? Here are a few some things to keep in mind:
a) It will probably go onto the cake, so if has to be food.
b) Don't say Diet Coke and mentos, or vinegar and baking soda, or anything that would be gross with cake.
Not much else to say really. Please answer if you have any ideas! Thanks in advance!

2 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoRandom question about Gavrilo Princip (WWI question)?
In History at school we were learning about the First World War. My teacher put on a video about the assassination of Franz Ferdinand, and the narrator of the video was all dramatic at one point. He said something along the lines of, "The assassination had failed. Gavrilo Princip walked away, and bought... A SANDWICH." The way he said it made everyone laugh. It sounded stupid at first, but then it turned out that the assassination happened outside Schiller's Delicatessen, which it where he bought the sandwich.
Anyway, I when I got home, I told my mum about it. She asked if we knew what kind of sandwich it was, so I thought it would be funny to find out! Does anyone actually know? Please don't give any mean answers, this question is just for fun.
In case anyone ignored all the top I will repeat the question. What kind of sandwich did Gavrilo Princip buy just before he assassinated Franz Ferdinand?
3 AnswersHistory1 decade agoWhat can I break in figure skating?
I am working on FreeSkate Gold (the "sequel" to SkateUK). In my biology class last week, my teacher was going through some of the bones in our bodies and saying in which sports when you are likely to break them. It made me wonder what I might break in figure skating. How and what bones are the most common bones to break at my level of figure skating?
5 AnswersIce Skating1 decade agoHelp! My cat keeps jumping on my head!?
This might sound funny, but it really really isn't. He sneaks up behind me while I'm sitting usually but sometimes when I'm standing. Once, he scratched my ear and it bled lots and a scar is still there. I always have scratches across my face. My mum always shuts him in the bathroom (because he has a very short memory so he forgets about what he did) but he never forgets it completely. My mum is always telling me that he's going to scratch my eyeballs someday and I'll be blind, and that scars me. But he just won't stop. She took him to the vet and the vet said that kittens jump on senior cats' heads to annoy them, but obviously I'm not a cat so I'm confused. I want him to stop! What do I do? He is a year and a half and he's a Bengal, if that helps.
3 AnswersCats1 decade agoHow do you spin for a long time?
I am learning to do probably the simplest one foot spin on ice. I am having trouble going around more that one revolution. Instructors say to spin on the part just below the toe of your foot, but I've done that and it doesn't seem to work. I asked a skilled skater I met at a public skating session what to do and she said the same thing.
Can someone give me some tips? I don't know how to go around more times.
