Can you prove life can't form on it's own?

Christians often say it can't happen...just because we haven't witnessed it doesn't mean it can't happen.

    Can you prove life can't form on it's own?

    ~~~ First, 'proof' is a matter of 'belief', which is religion! The existence of a cat is sufficient 'proof" for some that there is a God! A very personal thing!
    Science can only 'disprove', or the theory is tentatively accepted. Never 'prove' as there can always be found new data that requires an adjustment or abandonment of the theory.
    That's why it is impossible to 'prove' a negative!
    Christians often say it can't happen...just because we haven't witnessed it doesn't mean it can't happen.
    ~~~ All that exists is perceived! Not anything exists that is not perceived. All that is perceived 'exists'; thoughts, dreams, your nose, the sun...

    Perhaps it is being perceived in some other corner of the Universe?

    There are, however, good arguments against spontaneous creation, very good arguments, scientifically and philosophically.

    Religion, however, is not about philosophy (critical thought) or science (empiricism; against which there are, also, very good arguments!) but about 'beliefs'!

    Ultimately, if Consciousness is a requisite for 'life', the entire Universe is One 'living' being; 'Self!"!

    Because life is not completely understood, it is makes more sense to believe that it came from something rather than coming about on its own. To presume that anything in the material universe is its own source goes against the laws of the material universe and would have to be classified as province of the Divine.

    I believe it did form on it's own. Through a random selection of molecules smashing into each other creating life on earth and most surely on other planets.

    There is a whole Universe out there that one day we might explore. Life is the ultimate thing and if we are the only ones I'll eat my hat, note to self - Buy a Hat!!!!
