I admit it. I watched Bait Car.?
I was tired. That's my only excuse.
Is anyone else utterly appalled at the ease that these people ransack and steal cars? The language is shocking enough. They look like animals stalking their prey in the wild. I can't find words to express how offensive I find this behavior in a "civilized" society.

I've watched it a couple times. I too was disgusted at the total lack of regard for the law and other people and their possessions. I found myself laughing out loud at their reactions when the vehicle shuts down and the doors lock. Watching one of the episodes, I learned something new about why gang members all wear the same colors/clothes. I used to think it was a kind of identification for which gang they belonged to...but according to the cops, they all wear the same things so that when one of them commits a crime, it's that much harder to identify and catch them because they all look the same. Just thing of how successful these morons could be if they put that ingenuity and 'street smarts' to GOOD use!

They need to bring Bait Car to my city. One man that worked at the same place I did has had 3 trucks stolen out of his driveway. The city police had a program with cars set up like Bait Car and the doors would lock & the car would shut down a block or two away. One of those thieves caused an accident & the city stopped the program because they didn't want to get sued.

I have watched that show a few times.
I too have had my car broken into (not stolen) and the repair cost was all mine because it was below my deductible. I am glad to see car thieves caught.
The behaviour is the norm in a lot of poor neighborhoods. However, "Appalled" is a word I would use for child molesters.

Speaking as one who has my car stolen I get a lot of satisfaction watching them get busted. The expressions on their faces are priceless when the engine cuts off. Sadly, nothing much happens to them as they slough their way through the system and get their proverbial slap on the wrist. I asked the cop what would have happened if I had shot the thief who stole my car and he said we would have arrested you for homicide even though they took it right out of my driveway. So you can't even protect your property anymore. The only ones who have protection are the thieves.

That's why the cops use 'bait cars'. If you have scavengers coming out of the woods and steal from you, the you put out traps to catch them. That's what cops do with crooks BEFORE they steal our stuff. They are going to jail anyway, so why not catch them and put them where they belong before we loose our stuff?

Its a pathetic posed show that they insert over and over and over. its as bad as reno 911...tired of expensive cable bills with this and the infomercial tripe. television programming is something that has NOT improved thru the years.

No, but I do watch soaps.
My nephew had his Jeep stolen from the parking garage where he worked. It was never recovered.

Congratulations!!
The first step to being cured is admitting you have a problem.

Well you showed more taste than those trash that were caught. They probably watch reality shows and soaps.
