The Middle East is at war, Japan is glowing in the dark, America is coming off the rails while in Britain, the bankers and fat cats have stolen everything that wasn't nailed down.

Britain is heading at high speed back into the late Victorian era, so before we all end up in the workhouse, the slums, or forced to sweep chimneys using our own children as the brushes, the media thought it would be nice to saturate the airwaves with news of the Royal Wedding to cheer us all up.

Although having watched interviews with everyone associated with Kate Middleton, right down to the bloke who once cleaned her grandma's windows, I'm getting just a little tired of it all.

There life story is kinda a big love story! They're life is been a fairy tale since the beginning! They met in school and have went through a lot. It's special because of tradition even though Queen Elizabeth and the rest of them might not make the decisions it's still big because it's been going on for so long! It's also big because PRINCE WILLIAM AND KATE WILL BE KING AND QUEEN SOMEDAY!! After Charles is done being King, Prince Willam and Kate will be king and queen. And because you don't see Royal Weddings like this everday

Because the media is trying to make us think it's the event of the century so that they can make money. The media will hype up anything when there's money to be made, and weak-minded, gullible people will buy into the hype.

It really sickens me how much power the media has over people's minds these days. If Prince William had diarrhea, the media could drum up hype and get people lining up to flush the toilet for him. I'm not even exaggerating, that's how ridiculous it is.

Like I told my friend earlier its coz its called a ROYAL wedding hence the word so asking why it has so much publicity is stupid even if most people are not that interested in it. If anyone married a royal it would be a big deal. I think we are the only country in europe or the world even although I am not sure, something like that anyway that has a royal family so everyone goes mad.

Beacause it is part of a tradition going back over 1000 years and it is the one thing we in Britain can still do better than anyone else in the world. Every girl wants to be a princess and the British Royal family enjoy the longest tradition of Royalty. You out those two together and you have a compelling reason for this to be the event of the year.

I think British Royal Family receives so much attention from the public. Their behaviours although as common and usual as the public will cause great effect. It may be called"star effect". They are in the hightest level of the country so people will pay so much attention to it. Just like a famous star you are fond of.

Because it's part of history. We may never see another huge royal wedding in our life time. Just soak in the joy and don't be bitter about it.

Also, for me I'm American and it's nice to see this fantasy world like king and queens and all that good stuff. It's cool to see stuff like that exists.

Because it is not as popular when Charles and Diana got married.

People get more excited over reality shows like BB & the X factor, now that is sad...

thers nothing going on the world thats exciting right now, tsunami is old news , wars is old news

unless something happens majorly it will block out the media hyped wedding
