How is the speedometer on my 1996 Suzuki X90 connected to the transmission?

I understand that sometimes the speedometer is connected electronically to a sensor on the back of the transmission. Other times the speedometer is connected mechanically by a cable inside a sheath.

Is there anyone who knows which would be the case on this car?

I believe it's about the same as the following video:

Note that speedometers have 3 sensors, one in the rear of the vehicle, one in the back of the engine, and one in the transmission.
